March 6, 2006 Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Starts Construction of 32-Bed Dementia-Alzheimer's Unit in Erie On February 9, 2006, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs started construction of a new 32-bed Dementia-Alzheimer's Unit addition to the Pennsylvania Soldier's and Sailors' Home in Erie.
