March 13, 2006 86% of Houston Area Non-Profit Social Service Agencies Report Greater Demand On February 14, 2006, Sherri Flemming, executive director of the Travis County Health and Human Services and Veterans Service in a report to the Travis County Commissioners Court, said that 86% percent of non-profit social service agencies reported an increase in demand for services over the same period in 2005. Fifty-eight percent of providers reported budget increases, and fifty-seven percent had increased programs and services.
