FDA Approves First Mobile Diagnostic Radiology App
On February 4, 2011, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Mobile MIM—the first ever diagnostic radiology application approved for mobile devices. The HIPAA compliant application allows off-site physicians to view medical images, such as X-rays or MRIs, on iPhone and iPad devices.
