Excellent Schools Detroit Citywide Education Plan Seeks to Boost Graduation Rates, Recruit High-Performing Charter Schools
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Social Services On March 11, 2010, the Excellent Schools Detroit coalition released a citywide education plan that calls for the city to have a 90% high school graduation rate by 2020. The plan also specifies that 90% of high school graduates will enroll in college or quality post-secondary training program, and that 90% of those enrolled in post-secondary education will not need remedial coursework.
