FTC & State Of Idaho File Antitrust Suit Challenging Acquisition By St. Luke’s Health System

On March 12, 2013, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), together with the Idaho Attorney General, announced plans to challenge an acquisition of the state’s largest physician practice, Saltzer Medical Group P.A., by St. Luke’s Health System, Ltd., the state’s biggest health system. The acquisition was effective December 31, 2012.
