Arizona Puts 5,000 Prison Beds Out to Bid

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Social Services On February 19, 2010, the Arizona Department of Corrections released a request for proposals (RFP 100017DC) seeking private correctional management operators for 5,000 prison beds. The release implements the Arizona Legislature’s approval of a budget proposal that will end the state’s use of private out-of-state prison beds for Arizona offenders.
