OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is exploring multiple approaches to reduce its Medicaid spending, increase the availability of services, and encourage the use of home- and community-based service (HCBS) alternatives to facility-based care. Among the diverse approaches are a new home-care assessment tool, rate changes for long-term care services, investigation of telemonitoring options, and a medical home project.
