OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News In 2007, an estimated 17.3% of Americans under age 65 with private health insurance had a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) with an annual individual deductible of $1,100 or a family deductible of $2,200 or more.
