Feds Award 25 States Innovation Grants Totaling $300 Million To Develop New Models Of Care
On February 21, 2013, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded $300 million to 25 states selected for State Innovation Model grants; the states are developing and testing multi-payer payment and health care delivery system transformation. Over $250 million was awarded to six states that are ready to implement their State Health Care Innovation Plans. These six states are: Arkansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oregon, and Vermont.
