Arizona, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee & Virginia Considering Telehealth Bills
Bills have been introduced in Arizona, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, and Virginia to permit or expand the use of telehealth—at least within the state. Most states (currently 49 and the District of Columbia) still require that physicians providing telehealth services be licensed in the state where the patient is receiving services. Only 12 state medical boards issue special licenses or certificates permitting physicians to practice medicine across state lines.
