Illinois Closing Youth Treatment Unit at Andrew McFarland Mental Health Center
Share On January 21, 2011, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn’s administration confirmed that it will be closing the youth mental health unit at the Andrew McFarland Mental Health Center in Springfield, Illinois. The youth unit serves adolescents referred to treatment by a judge because they are too ill to stand trial or found not guilty of a crime, but mentally ill.
