OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News In 2008, nearly half, 47%, of large employers in the United States offered a consumer directed health plan (CDHP). In 2007, CDHPs were offered by 39% of large employers in the United States. About 42% of companies offering a CDHP had at least one-fifth of eligible employees enrolled in a CDHP, up from only 27% of surveyed companies in 2006.
