Census Bureau Reclassification Of Counties As Rural/Urban Cuts Medicare Telehealth Benefits In 97 Counties

A recent federal change to how counties are defined as either urban or rural is affecting 125 counties in 39 states and territories, and cuts Medicare telehealth benefits in 97 counties. The change was done for statistical purposes, but affects eligibility for Medicare telehealth services, which are only available for beneficiaries in rural areas.
