April 9, 2007 Indiana Children’s Mental Health Services Lack Consistent Quality Between Regions The quality of children’s mental health services in Indiana varied between regions in 2006. As a result, overall practice performance was rated acceptable only 60% of the time by child mental health service system stakeholders. Stakeholders living in regions in which a “System of Care” was functioning reported greater satisfaction with access to services and results achieved. Overall, the highest rated service areas were assessment, symptom reduction, and behavioral change. The lowest rated service areas were team functioning, functional outcomes, planning focus, and goal setting . . .
