Florida Medicaid Legislation To Limit ER Visits & Physician Office Visits Starting August 1, 2012

On March 29, 2012, Florida Governor Rick Scott signed legislation, House Bill (HB) 5301 that makes significant changes to Florida Medicaid—including limits on reimbursement for adult Medicaid beneficiaries who make more than six emergency department visits per year. The limit goes into effect on August 1, 2012. The reimbursement limit applies only to non-pregnant adults over the age of 21.
