New Private Prison to Open in Kingman

April 19, 2004 New Private Prison to Open in Kingman Approximately 450 inmates will take up residence in a new private prison southwest of Kingman (Arizona) beginning in August 2004. The prison is designed for 1,400 "level-2" and "level 3" and will initially house drunken-driving offenders who pose a low to medium risk, said Jim Hunter, the vice president of development for Dominion Correctional Properties (Dominion).
