GE & Intel Join Forces to Develop More Home-Based Health Technologies

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News On April 2, 2009, GE and Intel Corporation announced an alliance to market and develop home-based health technologies for individuals with temporary or age-related disabilities or chronic health conditions. The two companies will invest more than $250 million over the next five years for research on home-based health technology and product development. Research and development will expand GE and IntelÂ’s current development programs in home health and independent living technologies to include fall prevention; medication compliance; monitoring for sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease, or diabetes; and personal wellness . . .
