Indiana Developmental Training Center To Close Its Residential Children’s Services In Indianapolis
On March 22, 2012, the privately operated Indiana Developmental Training Center (IDTC) announced plans to end operations in its 96-bed Indianapolis residential facility and school for children between the ages of 10 and 21 with developmental disabilities and serious emotional disturbance in late May 2012. The decision to stop serving children was spurred by a decline in the number of children referred to the center for residential treatment and a reduction in Medicaid residential reimbursement rates.
