May 1, 2006 Jackson Achilles Appointed Medical Director of Spindletop MHMR Services On April 20, 2006, chief executive officer N.Charles Harris, Ph.D., of Spindletop Mental Health and Mental Retardation announced the appointment of Jackson Achilles, M.D., as its new medical director. Dr. Achilles will manage five psychiatrists and a staff of 500 at the Beaumont, Texas center. Dr. Achilles has practiced psychiatry for 29 years, specializing in the fields of addiction and geriatric psychiatry.
