North Carolina Planning To Integrate Medicaid Medical, Behavioral & Dental Services Through MCO Contracts
On April 3, 2013, North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory unveiled a plan to reorganize how Medicaid services are delivered by contracting with select large managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide integrated medical, behavioral health, dental and other Medicaid services. The goal is to create a Medicaid system that uses a comprehensive care entity (CCE) to provide integrated physical and behavioral health care.
