The U.S. General Accounting Office recently released a report that compares the outreach, enrollment practices, and benefits of Medicaid and SCHIP. The report concludes that SCHIP and Medicaid programs are offering a similar range of benefits, SCHIP places more limits on services than Medicaid does.  The report also notes that "HCFA believes that SCHIP outreach efforts have inspired Medicaid outreach for the first time in many states."
