New Mexico Planning Medicaid Incentive Program for Electronic Health Records
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News On May 4, 2010, the New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) announced plans for a Medicaid incentive program for health care provider organizations that implement electronic health records (EHRs). Provider organizations that adopt, implement, and achieve meaningful use of EHRs could receive up to $63,750 over a five-year period starting in October 2010. The incentives are 100% federally funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and program administration is 90% federally funded.
