HHS & Cleveland Clinic Collaborate to Advance Deep Brain Stimulation Treatment For Neurological Disorders
OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News On May 6, 2008, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office on Disability and the Cleveland Clinic met to discuss the use of deep brain stimulation (DBS) to treat neurological disorders and disabilities. The one-day conference topics focused on the effects DBS has on patientsÂ’ quality of life, level of functioning, and return to work.
