May 23, 2005 NextCare Acquires Nine Beverly Enterprises Urgent Care Centers On May 6, 2005, NextCare Urgent Care announced that it has completed the acquisition of nine free standing urgent care centers located in North Carolina from Beverly Enterprises, Inc. The Doctor's Urgent Care Centres are located in Raleigh, Cary, Burlington, Fayetteville, Garner, Goldsboro, Lumberton, and Wilmington (North Carolina). Specific financial details were not disclosed. According to NextCare, in 1998, Beverly purchased the urgent care clinics as a strategy to support its outpatient rehabilitation practices.
