Arthur Schut Leaves Iowa City MECCA for Arapahoe House

OPEN MINDS On-Line News Industry Newsmakers Effective in June 2008, Arthur Schut, chief executive officer of the Mid-Eastern Council on Chemical Abuse (MECCA) in Iowa City will be leaving his position to become deputy director of Arapahoe House in Denver, Colorado. MECCA is seeking a replacement. Mr. Schut has been with MECCA since 1982. While there, he has served as president of the Iowa Substance Abuse Program DirectorsÂ’ Association as well as the State Associations of Addiction Services. Mr. Schut has also been active in many state and national associations, boards, consortia, and panels to represent the needs . . .
