May 29, 2000The Pointe Opens in Boynton Beach The Pointe at Newport Place, an assisted living facility developed and managed by Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle Corporation (SLC), has opened its doors in Boynton Beach, Florida. The 65,000-square-foot community offers studio and one-bedroom residences, according to Lori Okeon, executive director of The Pointe. The facility will house 81 elders, including 27 in its Special Care Suites designed for people with Alzheimer's Disease and dementia.
