WellPoint to Buy Medical Advisory Firm Resolution Health

OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News On April 17, 2008, WellPoint Inc. agreed to buy Resolution Health Inc., a medical and pharmacy claims data analysis firm located in Columbia, Maryland. WellPoint Inc. and Resolution Health had been business partners; the acquisition will enable WellPoint to fully integrate the Resolution Health products into WellPointÂ’s service lines. WellPoint did not disclose the financial terms of the deal nor an expected closing date. A key goal will be to reduce medical costs by identifying opportunities to help close gaps between recommended care and the care members actually receive. Resolution . . .
