New Hampshire Blue Cross Makes Health Records Available on Mobile Phones
OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News On May 7, 2008, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Hampshire announced it will provide doctors with access to patients’ electronic health records via mobile phones. This service is called Member Medical History (MMH) and is part of Anthem’s e-prescribing program. MMH is designed to allow members to locate a provider in their network, but it also permits doctors to retrieve patients’ medical records using web-enabled cell phones.
