Acquires PRO Behavioral Health On June 3, 2002, Anthem Inc. announced it bought most of the assets of Denver-based PRO Behavioral Health, a 275,000-member managed behavioral health care organization. Under the agreement, PRO Behavioral Health will continue to serve its existing clients and all 56 of its employees will be offered jobs under Anthem. PRO will take over administration of behavioral health benefits provided to Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield customers in Colorado next year.
