June 10, 2002 Good Samaritan Hospital to Consolidate Mental Health ServicesDayton-based Good Samaritan Hospital plans to consolidate all of its mental and behavioral health services to create Samaritan Behavioral Health Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Samaritan Health Partners that will serve patients in Montgomery and Preble counties. Estimating an average of 6,000 - 7,000 patients seen annually, the new organization will receive funding primarily through the local community mental health boards, Medicaid, Medicare, and a small amount from commercial insurance.
