58% of Office-Based Physicians In U.S. E-Prescribe

Over half (58%) of office-based physicians in the United States are using e-prescribing systems to transmit prescriptions electronically to a patient’s preferred pharmancy, which translated to about 317,000 of the estimated 546,551 office-based physicians in the U.S. The number of office-based physicians who are e-prescribing has increased by 66% since 2010, when only 190,000 e-prescribed.
