Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Adopts New Software Platforms
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) recently implemented a new Hewlett Packard (HP) cloud software delivery platform for supports and services for about 80,000 people with developmental disabilities and their families. At the same time, DODD also implemented Unidesk, a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), which gives its staff remote access to their work files. The VDI initiative began in March 2011 and DODD anticipates that it will finish “virtualizing” about 1,500 staff desktops in June 2011.
