Aetna Introduces New CarePass Mobile Health & Wellness Application Platform

On June 5, 2012, Aetna introduced its new CarePass mobile health and wellness application platform and Sync technology, which allows users to securely share their personal data across multiple third-party mobile applications—essentially creating a personal health cloud. Two applications currently work with the CarePass platform—iTriage and MapMyFitness—and Aetna has opened the platform to third-party mobile application developers.
