South Carolina Cuts Medicaid Again – 7% Cut to Behavioral Health; Consumer Copayments Up to $3.30
On June 6, 2011, South Carolina’s Medicaid agency announced plans to reduce provider organization reimbursements between two and seven percent as of July 1, 2011. Behavioral health professionals will experience a seven percent reduction. In addition to provider organization rate reductions, patients will also be required to pay copayments $1.00 to $3.30 per visit.
