Virtual Doctors to Provide Medical Aid in Zambia Through Mobile Telemedicine
OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News The 2009 Zambia Pilot Project will set up vehicle-based temporary virtual doctor clinics to offer primary health care via telemedicine to about 40,000 people in the remote Lundazi district within the Eastern Province of Zambia. The pilot will take place from April through December of 2009. This pilot is a project of the Virtual Doctors Project. The nine month pilot project has a $145,000 budget.
