CMS Releases Updated Quality Measures For Meaningful Use
On June 20, 2013, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released updated clinical quality measures (CQMs) for the meaningful use program that align with a new cross department framework. The new framework supports six priority areas: clinical effectiveness and processes; patient experience and engagement; population and community health; patient safety; coordination of care; and resource efficiency.
