Nebraska Becomes 44th State To Launch Medicaid EHR Meaningful Use Incentive Program
On May 7, 2012, Nebraska became the 44th state to launch a Medicaid electronic health record (EHR) incentive program enabling eligible professionals using health information technology and who meet the federal meaningful use incentive benchmarks to receive cash bonuses that can be used to defray the costs of implementing health information technology. The state will start accepting meaningful use attestations in January 2013. The first incentive payment disbursement date is unknown.
