9.3% Of The 9 Million Dual Eligibles Are In Medicaid Managed Care; 12% Are Enrolled In Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans For Duals
In 2010, few of the nine million people eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid were enrolled comprehensive managed care plans; about 9.3% were enrolled in a Medicaid managed care plan; and 12% were enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan for dual eligibles (SNP-D). About 0.2% of dual eligibles were enrolled in a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). All other dual eligibles were received services through fee-for-service Medicare and Medicaid.
