27% Of Medicare Beneficiaries Enrolled In Medicare Advantage Plans In 2012

For the 2012 plan year, Medicare Advantage plans enrolled more than 13 million Medicare beneficiaries, representing 27% of all Medicare beneficiaries. Between 2011 and 2012, enrollment in Medicare Advantage increased by 10%, from 11.9 million to 13.1 million. These are findings of "Medicare Advantage 2012 Data Spotlight: Enrollment Market Update" by Marsha R. Gold, Gretchen A. Jacobson, Anthony Damico, and Tricia Neuman.
