CIGNA HealthCare of Louisiana’s Health Benefit Plans Will Not Include an HMO Next Year
OPEN MINDS On-Line News CIGNA HealthCare of Louisiana announced June 20, 2000 that it will not include an HMO in the health insurance plans it will offer next year. The company will continue to market indemnity health coverage, a preferred provider organization (PPO), a point-of-service (POS) plan that has many features of an HMO but which provides some reimbursements for visits to doctors and hospitals outside of the plan's provider network.
