July 15, 2002 Ardent Health Services Purchases Cumberland Hospital On June 4, 2002 Ardent Health Services of Nashville, Tennessee, announced it has purchased 84-bed Cumberland Hospital, a behavioral health and medical services facility, in New Kent, Virginia. Ardent Health Services acquired Cumberland Hospital from The Brown Schools. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Cumberland Hospital, located approximately 25 miles east of Richmond, Va., is built on 98 acres.
