July 16, 2001 Ohio Now Requires Telemedicine Licenses from the State Medical Board Ohio Governor Bob Taft signed a new state law requiring out-of-state physicians who frequently treat Ohio patients via computers or teleconferencing technology to obtain a telemedicine license from the State Medical Board.
