Wood Services Acquires Allies, Plans New Jersey Expansion
On May 29, 2012, Pennsylvania-based non-profit Woods Services entered in to an affiliation agreement with non-profit Allies, Inc., essentially acquiring Allies; both organizations provide support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Woods is a $160 million service provider organization with more than 850 licensed beds. Allies is a $28 million organization that through its affiliates provides community-based housing, employment, and recreational opportunities for people with special needs in New Jersey and Colorado.
