Wood Services Acquires Allies, Plans New Jersey Expansion

On May 29, 2012, Pennsylvania-based non-profit Woods Services entered in to an affiliation agreement with non-profit Allies, Inc., essentially acquiring Allies; both organizations provide support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Woods is a $160 million service provider organization with more than 850 licensed beds. Allies is a $28 million organization that through its affiliates provides community-based housing, employment, and recreational opportunities for people with special needs in New Jersey and Colorado. Via the acquisition, Woods is planning to expand Allies services and supports throughout New Jersey. Currently, Allies serves 250 adults in 106 community homes . . .
