July 17, 2006 Kentucky to Seek ePrescribing Grant Applications From Physicians On May 16, 2006, the Kentucky Secretary for the Cabinet of Health and Family Services (CHFS), Mark D. Birdwhistell, announced that the CHFS will launch a new ePrescribing grant for physicians, pharmacists, and other health care providers. The program will award grants to physicians who collectively invest in ePrescribing technology in up to four Kentucky communities.
