States Say E-Health HIEs, HIT, Telehealth, & Telemedicine High Priority
OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News States responding to a national survey said E-health activities such as electronic health information exchanges (HIEs), health information technology (HIT), telehealth, and telemedicine were a high priority. E-health is a term used to describe any health care practice supported by electronic processes and communication. Of 42 states that responded to the survey, 70% said E-health activities were significant or very significant and none of the states said they were not significant.
