Bannum Place Of Jackson Awarded $5 Million Federal Residential Reentry Center Contract

On June 14, 2013, the federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) awarded a contract valued at about $5 million to Bannum Place of Jackson to provide residential reentry center (RRC) services within the city limits of Jackson, Mississippi. The contract will serve male and female federal offenders held under the authority of United States statutes. The BOP contracts with private organizations to provide RRCs, also known as halfway houses, which provide comprehensive community-based services to inmates who are nearing release. RRCs provide a safe, structured, supervised environment, as well as employment counseling, job placement, financial management assistance, and other programs . . .
