August 6, 2007 Judge Rules Kentucky Sex Offender Residency Law Unconstitutional On July 24, 2007, a Kentucky court ruled that a law prohibiting convicted sex offenders from living within 1,000 feet of churches, schools, day care establishments, or parks with pools or playgrounds was unconstitutional because it applied the restrictions too broadly.
