North Shore-LIJ Health System To Launch Provider-Owned Commercial Health Plan In New York

On July 30, 2013, North Shore-LIJ Insurance Company Inc. was granted an insurance license by the New York State Department of Financial Services, making North Shore-LIJ the first provider-owned commercial health insurance plan on the New York Health Benefit Exchange.
