Feds Approve New Mexico 1115 Waiver To Launch ‘Centennial Care’ Integrated Physical, Behavioral Health & Long-Term Services & Supports

On July 15, 2013, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted its final approvals to the New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) 1115 Medicaid waiver to create Centennial Care, a Medicaid managed care program that will provide integrated physical and behavioral health services, long-term care and community benefits for existing Medicaid beneficiaries, as well as an alternative benefit plan for the Medicaid expansion population.
