On July 20, 2012, the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) announced that the state Medicaid agencies from Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, and Vermont were participating in the CHCS “Advancing Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations: A Learning Collaborative.” During the 14-month long collaborative, the participating states will focus on designing an ACO program; building the financing, data-sharing, and measurement plans; obtaining federal approval; and implementing the ACO.
